I am hedging a bet, nobody would likely be interested if I were to type up a brief recap of the events which defined 2020. I feel the whole year is best laid to rest – R.I.P.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pop music, on the other hand, faired much better, giving us lots of great tracks, singles and albums. Being that lists are, so last decade. We’ve instead archived all the very best pop, electronic and indie tracks of 2020 into one mega playlist, and not so surprisingly called it This Beat Is Poptronik 2020<\/strong>. If ever there was a time for a disco resurgence 2020 was the moment in time we needed it most. November and December are quieter months on the music calendar. That said, electronic, pop and indie-pop continued to be pretty amazing. Let’s remember November & December 2020, as compiled on the January 2021 edition of the “This Beat Is Poptronik” playlist<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With his homage to one of the biggest, charting female singers of the mid-80s and early 90s. Adam Joseph<\/strong> cleverly celebrated “Whitney Houston<\/a><\/strong>.” So much so, he turned the titles of Whitney\u2019s iconic hits and well-loved tracks into the lyrics of his song. Totally 80s tastic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The super-cute pop track \u201cTrust Issues<\/a><\/strong>\u201d from London-based singer-songwriter Liv Dawson<\/strong>. Will be up your street if you have a penchant for lush, dreamy pop with a personal lyrical touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your not familiar with Rina Sawayama<\/strong> now is the time to get acquainted. “Lucid<\/a><\/strong>” beckons us to dance and solidifies her pop power status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The synth-pop vibes are strong on Armin van Buuren<\/strong> ft. Duncan Laurence<\/strong> collaboration “Feel Something<\/a><\/strong>.” Emotive, vulnerable lyrics still rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
