UK Lockdown #3 has been a real stinger, hasn’t it? So you, therefore, might need a reminder of what new music went down in January and February?\u2026 We thought as much! So we’ve pulled our finger out and compiled the new March 2021 edition<\/strong> of our Spotify playlist “This Beat Is Poptronik<\/strong>.” Want to know more?\u2026 we’re only too happy to oblige\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week the 78th Golden Globe Awards<\/strong> took place. The awards recognizing excellence in film, both American and international, and American television. We couldn’t help but notice Sia<\/strong> had been nominated for the Best motion picture – musical or comedy award for her movie “Music<\/strong>” when we were thumbing through the noms. (We cover (Raj covers) film reviews<\/a><\/strong> as well. If you hadn’t noticed.) What can we say, other than Sia was robbed by “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm<\/strong>.” So we’ve taken it upon ourselves to crown Sia queen of the March 2021 “This Beat Is Poptronik”<\/strong> playlist. Bagging the top spot with “Together<\/a><\/strong>” a song brimming with positivity and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a melody as slinky smooth as buttercream and just as sweet. Newcomer Jack Newsome<\/strong> has two playlist placements. Start with his latest jam “Arms<\/a><\/strong>.” “The Year The World Stood Still”<\/a><\/strong> will help you get another feel of his artistry. A potent singer-songwriter force, we have a very good feeling about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have never heard the Billy Idol<\/strong> track “Eyes Without a Face<\/strong>” sound so chill, but we are in rapture with the new Poolside remix<\/a><\/strong>. The blissed-out production is totally a new flavour to behold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long live Baby Queen<\/strong>! I’m pretty sure “Raw Thoughts<\/a><\/strong>” is my most streamed track of 2021, already. No coincidence then, Bella Latham has made the playlist twice. With her lyrics, she, is so, brilliant and being hugely relevant at the same time. Surely, \u201cThese Drugs<\/a><\/strong>\u201d is as deep as it gets. It is so raw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sound On. “Bad Tattoo<\/a><\/strong>” from HYYTS<\/strong> is dreamy delicious, electro-pop teamed with, an intelligent social commentary that takes you on a journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
