So, very appropriately, <strong>National Anthem<\/strong> was the very first film I got to see at SXSW this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All I can say is that this magical little slice of cinema is a pure delight. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm4055138\/?ref_=tt_cl_t_1\">Charlie Plummer<\/a><\/strong> can do no wrong in my book. I became an instant fan of his in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4lZG17C1zjo\">Lean On Pete<\/a><\/strong>, so to see him lead this insanely talented troupe of queer and trans actors was a joyous thing to witness. Cowboy hats off to the director <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm3078571\/?ref_=tt_ov_dr\">Luke Gilford<\/a><\/strong> on having his first feature debut at SXSW too. I see a bright future for this daring new director and I&#8217;m looking forward to seeing what he does next. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peep our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@PhilMarriott\">Boys On Film<\/a><\/strong> review below&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"NATIONAL ANTHEM Movie Review SXSW 2023 - Boys On Film\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QzucRk8pe5c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>But wait, there&#8217;s more!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although I don&#8217;t quite know if there is an official trailer out for this film yet, there is this great cast interview from <strong>The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong> to tide you over until we get that first trailer drop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch out for this one LGBTQ+ film fans, this movie is a compelling look at the importance of chosen family and how community ultimately plays a fundamental part in who and what we are as humans&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Director &amp;
