This summer marked the exciting release of “Dear Matthew<\/a><\/strong>,” the debut album from Australian queer singer-songwriter TIN<\/a><\/strong>. This remarkable body of work delves into the vibrant and often tumultuous world of partying from a distinctly gay perspective. Throughout the album, TIN vividly captures the exhilarating highs of hedonistic partying\u2014moments filled with joy, freedom, and unapologetic self-expression. While also addressing the sombre lows that can accompany such experiences, reflecting on themes of loneliness, low esteem and longing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wanted this album to be about my experience of entering the world of partying and what it\u2019s been like fully immersed in it. I would often find myself chasing an empty high just to fill a void or hopelessly falling in love because it felt like I didn\u2019t deserve any better. Most of the songs are in response to growing up feeling inadequate because of things that were out of my control.\u201d TIN<\/strong> explains.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

TIN’s commitment to authentic representation shines brightly in this project.
