Now, I can already hear the questions: Doesn\u2019t <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eqmusicblog.com\/?s=kylie+minogue\">Kylie <\/a><\/strong>have a track with the same name? Is this a reimagining? The answer is a resounding no. Kylie recorded &#8220;<strong>Je ne sais pas pourquoi<\/strong>&#8221; for her iconic 1988 debut album &#8220;<strong>Kylie<\/strong>,&#8221; but these two tracks couldn\u2019t be more different in sound and style. Kylie embodies that classic disco and dance-pop flair we all love, while Stan Pratt is here to push boundaries with his bold, maximalist pop infused with an alternative edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, I see a parallel between Stan and the current alt-pop sensation <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eqmusicblog.com\/?s=chloe+qisha\">Chloe Qisha<\/a><\/strong>, who holds a degree in psychology. Stan brings a unique twist of his own, boasting a degree in neuroscience. (Surprised? I certainly was!). This combination of academic prowess and musical talent is sure to create something truly unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/music.apple.com\/gb\/album\/somebody-watching-me-feat-deane\/1817275513?i=1817275542&#038;itscg=30200&#038;itsct=music_box_badge&#038;ls=1&#038;app=music&#038;mttnsubad=1817275542\" style=\"display: inline-block;\">\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/toolbox.marketingtools.apple.com\/api\/v2\/badges\/listen-on-apple-music\/standard-white\/en-us\" alt=\"Listen on Apple Music\" style=\"width: 367px; height: 82px; vertical-align: middle; object-fit: contain;\" \/>\n    <\/a>\n\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/k4eZ-ow3k8o?si=uiPbTfRVTGPb_1Ix\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Describing the debut offering &#8220;<strong>Je Ne Sais Quoi,<\/strong>&#8221; the song is playful and upbeat albeit notably brimming with a vibrant, cool and thought-provoking narrative, teeming with tongue-in-cheek lyricism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I wrote it about a certain category of male narcissist, and at the start of the song, I allude to the way he&#8217;s been shaped by his upbringing.&#8221;\u00a0Though the track&#8217;s protagonist was\u00a0&#8220;treasured like an angel from the skies&#8221;, he&#8217;s now\u00a0&#8220;dancing with the devil just to bring you down a level&#8221;\u00a0\u2013 in other words, precisely the kind of bad boy who&#8217;s tough to resist,&#8221;<strong> Stan <\/strong>explains.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Stan\u2019s deep love for 80s synth-pop infuses his music with a nostalgic yet fresh vibe that truly resonates with me. While I\u2019m not aware of him covering any of Kylie\u2019s tracks. I can confidently say that his rendition of <strong>Bronski Beat\u2019s<\/strong> &#8220;<strong>Smalltown Boy<\/strong>&#8221; is a must-listen (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/stanley-pratt-992685805\/smalltown-boy-cover\">check it out here<\/a><\/strong>). It&#8217;s a brilliant interpretation that showcases his unique style!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When exploring new music and emerging artists, I always trust my instincts. In this case, I can&#8217;t help but feel an overwhelming sense of excitement about Stan Pratt. I genuinely believe I&#8217;m in for the long haul with his sound.
